This bright Geminid meteor appeared above the author's backyard during the Geminid meteor shower on the night of December 13, 2020. Stars from the constellation Orion appear at the top and the bright star Sirius is below the meteor. The peak of the 2022 Geminid shower occurs on Wednesday evening, December 14.
